DURATION OF TENANCY AGREEMENT
The tenancy agreement is issued from date of arrival to June 30th, or according to agreement.

Application with good reasons for extended time of residence for the summer must be submitted before April 15th. 

THE RIGHT TO INSPECT THE ACCOMMODATION (Rules and Regulations III, 14)
SiTø, or it’s representatives, may not enter the tenant’s accommodation without due notification.

The tenant has a right to be present at the time of inspection, if he/she wishes.

SiTø’s duty to notify the tenant does not apply if the purpose of entry is to prevent damage to property, or if there is a suspected violation of the Agreement.

HOUSEHOLD PETS
Household pets are not allowed in SiTø Student Hostels (Rules and Regulations, III, 7).

Note that this point also includes household pets that in one way or another has any connection with the accommodation.

Termination of Contract/Moving Out

The rent contract can be set up such that it may be terminated if one month’s notice is given. Request to terminate the contract may be sent from your page on Boligtorget. Rent must be paid for the entire month-long notice period even if the resident moves out earlier.  The room must be returned in good, clean standing, and will be inspected by the housing department after the resident moves out. If the room is not satisfactorily clean and requires further cleaning, the minimum rate for one hours work is 450 Nok. 
Remember to empty the storage space when you move.

CHECK OUT TIME IS AT 12.00 am, and remember to CLEAN OUT KITCHEN, BATHROOM AND YOUR OWN ROOM. YOU WILL BE CHARGE MIN. NOK 450, - . IF NOT CLEANING OUT.

REMEMBER THERE IS NON SMOKING INSIDE OUR BUILDING IN NYBYEN, ALL SMOKING MUST TAKE PLASE OUTSIDE. AND NON OPEN FIRE INSIDE THE BUILDING (LIKE CANDLE).

1.0 SHARED AREAS:
1.1 Skies and bicycles are not to be kept indoors other than the storeroom in the basement area intended for this. Skies and bicycles, which are found anywhere else, will be removed immediately at the tenant’s costs. The storerooms shall be kept tidy.

1.2 Place footwear on the shelves in the entrance area.

1.3 Never put wet clothing on the heaters to dry.

1.4 It is prohibited to store gasoline or any other inflammable liquids indoors. This should be kept outside in a safe of 10 meters from the houses or in the container outside barrack no 13. Snowmobiles must be park at least 10 meters from the barracks.

1.5 When using shared equipment, e.g. vacuum cleaner, always put it back as soon as you are finished.

1.6 Candles may be used in the shared kitchen/TV-room areas only. Please note, however, that only candleholders made of glass, ceramics and metal that give amply support for the candles are allowed. NO BOTTLES As they are easy to turn over.

1.7 Take care to always turn the TV-set off manually. The stand by position is not allowed when no one is present, as this is known to have caused fires.

 ACCOMODATION:
1. Do not disturb you neighbors unnecessary when listening to stereo, TV, music instruments etc. It should be quiet at 23.00h Monday through Friday. 24.00h in weekend.
 
2. Subletting your room is dependant of SiTø`s approval in each individual case.

4. The tenant is obliged to observe proper caution and liable for any damage done during the rental period inflicted by the tenant or persons whose admittance has been permitted by the tenant. This is also the case whit damages caused frozen piping, water leakage and the likes, if these are due to negligence by the tenant or persons for whom the tenant is responsible.

5. Tenants are expected to remove all their belongings from the accommodation on checking out. Such items will be removed at tenants’ costs.

6. It is NOT allowed to smoke inside. It is your responsibility to empty the ashtrays outside.   

7. It is forbidden to move in/out equipment and furniture’s from the student residences.
