Øvre Breivang is located right next to the University area at Breivika, about 4 km from the center of town.  The student housing is made up of two, connected apartment complexes with five floors, together having 72 single rooms and 25 2-room apartments.

All the kitchens for the single rooms and some of the kitchens for the 2-room apartments have replaced old appliances with new ones.  The main entrance has been renovated and the windows and exterior walls are newly painted (spring/summer 2008).

Cable TV and internet connection is included in the rent for all the rooms.

Practical Information

Fire Safety.
The house is connected with the automatic fire alarm system with smoke detectors in all of the residences, corridors, and stairwells.  The system is automatically connected to the fire department.  There are fire hoses in all the corridors.  Fire extinguishers are in the apartments that have an entrance from the ground level.

Laundry Facilities
The laundry facilities are found on the third floor/B-block

The machines can be used from 0700-2300 (7am-11pm)

There can, unfortunately, be theft from the laundry facilities.  Therefore, do not let clothes stay in the machines.  Take them out as soon as the washing is complete.

Storage Facilities
All residences have storage in the basement.  The storage area is equipped with an alarm and automatic locking after 11pm.

Fuse Box
The fuse box is on every floor in the corridors, B-block.
