Departure

When departing Nybyen tenants must clean out of their unit. If not, part of the deposit will be withdrawn to pay for the cleaners. Below is a check list to so you can avoid having cuts in the deposit.

Have you:

  • Removed stains from the ceiling and walls?
  • Cleaned all wooden parts of furniture and vacuum seat of couch and chairs?
  • Emptied the closet and cleaned all shelves, doors and the bottom of the closet?
  • Cleaned all lamps and electric outlets, and made sure all bulbs are in order?
  • Cleaned the window and curtains?
  • Cleaned the door to the room on both sides, and removed all stains and fingerprints?
  • Removed dust and stains from the heater?
  • Emptied and cleaned the wastebasket?
  • Cleaned all moldings, roof and walls of both the bath room and the unit?
  • Removed the green stains in the shower made by Svalbard’s harsh water and the hair and dirt in the bathroom drain?
  • Washed the shower curtains and the sink and toilet?
  • Cleaned your part of the kitchen area, and made sure there are no left food items?
  • Please check that there are no personal items left behind, as SiTø does not take responsibility for them.

Should your room not bee properly cleaned, a fee of minimum NOK 450,- will be charged. If you’re unsure, check out may be arranged with the office at UNIS.

LEFT PROPERTY

The tenants are expected to remove all personal belongings from the accommodation and storage rooms (refer to Tenancy Agreement § 14). Studentsamskipnaden i Tromsø once more wishes to welcome you as a Unis student and tenant at our student hostel.  Through planning and rehabilitation the tenants’ welfare has been important to us.  To make the student hostel a pleasant place, it is significant that you contribute by participating in common activities, and participate to create social relations with fellow students and the local population.
