The Student Welfare Organization in Tromsø has winded up the price difference in the cafeterias between students and employees. The change is due to an agreement with the University of Tromsø (UiT).

The Student Welfare Organization in Tromsø adapted a differentiated pricing system due to a change of tax policies and policies regarding the benefits of receiving free premises from UiT.

However, the tax policies were withdrawn, which meant the employees of universities were included to the exemption from value added tax.  

As for the policies regarding benefits from free premises, UiT has decided to sponsor the employees with a subsidized price in the cafeterias. So, as of February 15th the cafeterias have re-introduced one price for all.
